We are seeking a Culture Keeper to steward the InanItah Fire Season Vision and care for the day to day co-creative culture and needs of the community.

This position requires a minimum commitment of 6 months, and we will have a preference for people who intend to stay longer term. The work expectation is approximately 30 hours each week. Excellent time management skills are a must. The person in this role is accountable for the responsibilities in their sphere of leadership. There are daily meetings Monday - Friday and another 3 - 4 hours commitment per week in communal contributions focuses primarily on meal prep or clean-up.

The Culture Keeper is someone who enjoys living and working with people, has an enthusiastic earth activist attitude, is comfortable with earthy rustic living, and has solid organizational & coordination skills. This role suits someone with a gregarious spirit and strong work ethic. Someone excited about welcoming people into a vision for intimate, earth-based, regenerative living.

We are looking for a highly responsible person with excellent people skills. We are looking for a great communicator. Someone capable being both strong and kind while stewarding visionary guidelines and community boundaries and agreements. This person ideally has experience living in a community setting. A high level of self-awareness is necessary to excel in this role.

The person in this role will have an overview of everyday life at InanItah Fire Season. This person is great at planning, has a systemic and orderly approach, is simultaneously flexible and adaptable to changing situations and priorities, and can manage multiple tasks. This role includes community administration, facilitation, and team building.

The ideal person to join us in this role has a background in alternative lifestyles and familiarity with our community practices of personal and planetary transformation. This includes yoga, meditation, tantra, healing, self-reflection, voluntary simplicity, regenerative healthy living, healing, embodiment, permaculture, and connection to nature.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Living in community, ashram or retreat center
Coordinating people and managing volunteers
Collective process, collaborative projects
Experience in community on-boarding or hospitality management
Personal background / interest in personal transformation and self-awareness

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Leadership

Acting as a liaison between the Gaia and the community leadership team. Providing project-related updates, reporting issues, ensuring protocols are followed, and carrying out day-to-day administration as necessary
Lead or Co-Leading the weekday morning meeting, including daily group check-ins with --- to hold space for things arising and make sure that the program is aligned and progressing well
Coordinating and communicating times and locations daily and weekly event schedules , volunteer workflows, visitor and volunteer community contributions.
Work as a part of a leadership team to initiate, educate, inspire community Visitors and Volunteers
Nurture the Community, monitoring the "vibe" of the community, inspiring participation and enhancing the communal living experience
Hold the vision for community guidelines and rules of co-living
Supervise the day to day management of local staff as needed.
Providing feedback to the team

Administration

Maintain and adjust internal organizational systems for life within the community
Manage arrivals and departures and accommodation needs for the community
Maintain inventory for accommodation equipment and supplies
Update online arrival and departure calendars
Support transportation needs of new comers
Manage petty cash for community expenses, payroll, and bookkeeping as necessary
Report maintenance needs to the site manager

Community Culture

Foster a spirit of self-responsibility, inclusion and mutual support
Inspire community members to be creative and share their gifts, stretch their edges and use the space as an grounds of exploration and learning
Oversee programs and carry out day-to-day administration where necessary
Being a point of contact before arrival and welcoming arriving collaborators. Supporting the initiation process for all new visitors and volunteers,.
Initiate newcomers and ensure that individuals are educated about how they can take responsibility to get their needs met
Inspire community members, to ensure that communal areas, facilities and accommodations are kept clean and well organized a inspire community members to beautify spaces
Remaining open to feedback, conducting exit interviews with volunteers

COMPENSATION

Compensation will be a combination of exchange for room and board, cash stipend and community credits. Specific details of the package will depend on your prior experience and personal choices. Year-end bonus based on performance and profit share. A profit share-based bonus is available upon completing the InanItah Fire Season. Superior credit when used for long term land use contract.
